Gideon Amir, Founder and CEO
Gideon has more than 20 years of experience in the ASIC, EDA and ASSP Development, Marketing and Sales. Gideon founded AST in 1986 as the first independent ASIC Design Center in Israel, later adding the EDA and ASSP lines. A Graduate of the Technion in EE, Gideon served as Reliability and later on as a R&D Engineer at the elite IDF unit that has produced many of the leading Israeli Hi-Tech entrepreneurs. After his discharge from the Army, Gideon moved to Silicon Valley and worked as a Design Manager at AMI in Santa Clara, and later as a VP of Engineering at Universal Semiconductor, a Gate Array company. Gideon published numerous technical articles and holds 7 patents in Semiconductor Design and Technology. He also has an MSEE and an MBA from the University of Santa Clara, California.

Eli Geva, Director of ASIC Operations
At AST since 1992,  Eli has over 20 years of experience in ASIC design. 
He has been involved in the design of over 150 ASIC’s and has been managing AST’s ASIC Operations
for the past 6 years. Eli is responsible for all ASIC sales, design and support activities.
Eli served as a R&D Engineer at the elite IDF unit and later joined ATARI Design Center in Israel
as an ASIC design engineer. Eli holds graduate degrees in Engineering and BA in administration from the Open University.

Uri Farkash, Director of EDA Operations
Uri has over Twenty years experience in the EDA field. Uri joined AST in 2002 and he is responsible for all EDA sales and customer support activities. He brought knowledge and strong work ethics to the EDA department of AST. In the past, he served in senior level marketing, sales, consulting and development positions with Daisy; SEE Technologies, Summit Design, and Innoveda. Uri holds graduate degree in computer science from the Technion Institute in Cluj.

Orly Ellison, Marketing Manager
Orly has over 18 years experience in Marketing and Sales. Five years as Marketing & Sales Manager in U.S.A company and three years as a teacher and Marketing Manager at Sight & Sound computers school. Orly joined AST in 2000. She is responsible for AST’s Marketing and Customer Relations Management, Pre-sales as well as AST’s Web site Administer,  Advertisements & Seminars. She has been nominated twice-“The employee of the year” at AST. Orly holds a diploma in Business Management; she is currently working towards her MBA.

Dahlia Amir, QMS and HR Manager
Dahlia joined AST in 1999. She established the Quality System for the company and is committed to meet all that it stands for.
Formerly a Superintendent for the Ministry of Education, Dahlia is a graduate of Tel Aviv University in Languages, and holds a "Masters degree in Administration, Supervision and Higher Education" from the California State University in San Jose.
Dahlia has completed a special training program in planning and implementing a Quality Management System, by MATI, The Standards Institution of Israel.
