Spectrum has led the way in the manufacture of high-speed and high-resolution PC instruments for PCI, PCI-X, PCI Express, PXI and CompactPCI (CPCI) busses. Years of experience as a developer and producer are feed in the products forming robust instruments for industrial needs.
Spectrum has focused its business on the high-speed A/D, D/A and Digital I/O range with sampling rates between 100 kS/s, 1 MS/s, 10 MS/s, 50 MS/s, 100 MS/s, 200 MS/s and 500 MS/s. Fast amplifiers and high-quality converters allow the acquisition and replay of high-frequency signals. As a result of the substantial on-board memory even fast signals may be recorded for long time with a high precision.
The boards are also available in a completely installed system. We offer a wide range of standard systems, 19" industrial systems or mobile PCs. For the mobile use together with a notebook, a range of high-performance docking stations that can hold up to three PCI boards is also available.

D.Modules are designed as a stand-alone platform for signal processing applications. The design goal was to provide a universal DSP "mainboard" which integrates all the basic components, circuits and interfaces required for signal processing applications. Like your Personal Computer's mainboard, a D.Module provides the processor, fast memory, serial and parallel interfaces, standardized "expansion slots" and a BIOS.
Flash Memory provides non-volatile storage (your "harddisk"), Voltage Supervisor and Watchdog guarantee well-defined start-up behavior and recovery from lock-ups, crucial to fulfill the safety requirements of industrial, automotive and medical applications.
As with a Personal Computer you add the required data acquisition devices and the system is ready to go. The standardized serial and parallel interfaces of the D.Module provide glueless connection of most industry standard Codecs, A/D and D/A converters.
Excellent system adaptability is provided by the integration of reconfigurable logic: At least 16 I/O signals are user-programmable and can be configured to a variety of interfaces ranging from bit-programmable I/O to SPI, I2C, encoder interfaces, and double-buffered parallel ports - even surpassing the versatility of most micro-controllers.
